Mohammad Rizwan pulled off a blinder and received praise from Adam Gilchrist

Mohammad Rizwan displayed remarkable wicketkeeping prowess, earning praise from Adam Gilchrist for his exceptional catch of Alex Carey.

Shaheen Afridi bowled a phenomenal delivery slightly shorter in length, generating late lateral movement towards the left-handed batsman. Attempting an expansive drive through the covers, Carey played away from his body, resulting in an inside edge. Despite the ball veering towards the ground, Rizwan, stationed to the right, executed a stunning dive, securing the catch inches above the turf.

Adam Gilchrist’s admiration was evident in his commentary as he exclaimed, “Edged. Oh, it is beautifully taken. An absolute beauty here from Mohammad Rizwan. That is as tough a catch as you’ll have of a quick bowler. Brilliance from the wicketkeeper.”

Pakistan roared back into the second Test against Australia in Melbourne on Wednesday, grabbing seven wickets in the morning session to dismiss the hosts for 318 at lunch.

The visitors removed Travis Head (17), Marnus Labuschagne (63), Alex Carey (four), Mitchell Starc (nine), Mitchell Marsh (41) and Pat Cummins (13), and Nathan Lyon (eight) on the second morning.

Aamer Jamal spearheaded the charge with 3-64.
